Service Description
Our educational reptile program is designed to captivate and educate audiences in schools, libraries, and museums. Perfect for groups of up to 30 participants, this interactive experience introduces students and visitors to the fascinating world of reptiles through live animal encounters, engaging presentations, and hands-on learning. We bring 8-10 of our reptiles to showcase their unique adaptations, behaviors, and ecological roles, inspiring curiosity and respect for these often-misunderstood creatures. Whether for a classroom lesson, STEM event, or museum exhibit, our program offers a fun and unforgettable way to explore the wonders of the reptile kingdom! Please contact us if you would like more time with our animals. Each additional hour is $100. Travel fees for distances greater than 20 miles from Davenport, IA are detailed in our booking policy.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that life can be unpredictable! To provide the best service to all our clients, please review our cancellation policy carefully: 1. Standard Bookings - Cancellations 48 Hours in Advance: For any cancellations made 48 hours or more before your scheduled program, a full refund or rescheduling will be available with no additional charges. - Cancellations within 24-48 Hours: Cancellations made 24-48 hours before the appointment will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking cost. - Same-Day Cancellations: No refunds will be given for cancellations made on the day of the appointment. This also includes any missed or no-show appointments. 2. Special Events & Workshops - Cancellations 7 Days in Advance: For any cancellations made 7 days or more prior to the event, you’ll receive a full refund. - Cancellations within 3-6 Days: For cancellations made 3-6 days prior to the event, a 50% refund will be provided. - Cancellations within 48 Hours of Event: Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for any cancellations within 48 hours of the event start time. 3. Refund Processing - Refunds for eligible cancellations will be processed within 5-7 business days after the cancellation request has been confirmed. 4. Rescheduling Policy - If you'd prefer to reschedule rather than cancel, please reach out at least 12 hours before your appointment. Rescheduling is subject to availability and may be done once without additional fees. 5. Local Laws Due to state and local regulations regarding exotic pets, Shadowland Serpentry has to restrict the use of certain species depending on your location. If you would like to engage with all of our reptiles, please try booking a show outside of these locations. Areas with restrictions include: - Iowa: Reticulated Pythons, Green Anacondas, Asian Water Monitors - Moline, IL: Any constrictors and large lizards (ball pythons, boas, monitors, ect.) - East Moline, IL: Any constrictors over 6 feet (boas, reticulated pythons, burmese pythons) 6. Travel Fees - A $50 travel fee will be applied to the total cost of shows for events greater than 20 miles from Davenport, IA. - A $100 travel fee will be applied to the total cost of shows for events greater than 40 miles from Davenport, IA.
